Terry James Byrd, 78, passed away Sunday March, 12 2023 after a long illness. He was born in Elkin July 16, 1944 to Dolly and Bessie Byrd.

Terry graduated from Elkin High School, class of 1962 after which he joined the US Air Force, serving in Viet Nam.  Following his service commitment he attended Wingate College and graduated from UNC-Charlotte. Terry retired from Dow Chemical Co. after 28 years as a Regional Sales Manager.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ima Lou Pack.  He is survived by his wife, Terrie Byrd; one daughter Jennifer Roth; one son Jonathan Scott Byrd. Six Grandchildren, Kainon, Raevyn, Aeon, Aether, Riley and Nichole. Two Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zofie.

A graveside military committal service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. At Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC.
