Judson Dawsey (Judd) Taylor, Jr.,75, of State Road died unexpectedly Monday May 9, 2016.

Mr. Taylor was born in Eufaula AL. to Judson Dawsey and Wallace Willis Taylor.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elkin.  He was a graduate of Auburn University. He was a proud member of The General Society of the Mayflower Descendents and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and served in the Georgia National Guard.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Grassy Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Sam Foster.

Surviving are:   His wife, Jimmie Miller Taylor of the home. Three sons: Mark Judson and wife Tonya Taylor of Emerald Isle NC, James Franklin and wife Nicky Taylor of Indian Valley, Va. and Jason Allen Taylor of State Road, NC.

Six grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua Judson, Jacey, Jordan, Becka and Bubba.

One great grandchild Abagail.

One sister; Carol Clifton of Atlanta GA and One Brother; Don Taylor of Fernandina, FL

The family would like to express their appreciation to the State Road Vol. Fire Department for their assistance over the years and suggest any memorials be made to them at 1973 Old Hwy 21 State Road, NC 28676.
