Obituary

Frank Wilson Hobson, Jr.

Frank was a lifelong farmer and pioneer in the burgeoning vineyard and wine industry that encompasses the Yadkin Valley. As his way of protecting his 116-year-old family farm from development, Frank always had a "Plan B." The vineyard and winery named in honor of his 4-H show calf from 1957, RagApple Lassie, was Frank's "Plan B." He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

Frank died peacefully at home on the morning of June 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Snow Hobson and Frank Wilson Hobson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Linda H. Hobson. He is survived by his wife of 24 years,  Lenna H. Hobson , by one son, Frank W. Hobson, III, one sister, Anne H. Eastman, two stepchildren, Robin E. Turner and Bradley C. Edwards (Lori).  He is also survived by four step grandsons: Tanner C. Edwards, Reid H. Turner, Jackson R. Turner, Hugh B.
