Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Parks  passed away May 20,2024 after an extended illness.   Libby was born Feb 12, 1948 the daughter of James and Nancy Martin Parks.  She attended East Wilkes High School and graduated from Appalachian State University and was an active member of Elkin First United Methodist Church as long as health permitted. Libby retired from Crossroads Behavioral Health. Libby loved birdwatching, flowers, reading and painting.

Survivors include: one sister, Margaret Krakeel (John),  Two brothers, Jimmy Parks (Kathryn), John Parks (Kathy)

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at First United Methodist Church on Thursday  May 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Howard Fleming. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.

The family suggests that any memorials be made to Elkin First United Methodist Church, 340 Hawthorne Rd., Elkin, NC 28621  or Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge St., Elkin, NC 28621.
